Got my DB Brompton a couple of months ago. I've played with the idea of buying a Brompton but thought this was a good way to test drive it. I love this bike and think the cooperation is a great idea.

Continentals for me. Difference on gravel is imperceptible to me vs marathon, and not noticed any increased tendency to puncture (on the experience of just two bikes, perhaps less with continental). We have two electrics, one with marathon and one with continental, and i prefer the ride of the continental in most riding. Did a 27 mile loop of Kielder water recently (all gravel, with occasional roots and sand) and both performed fine with no punctures. very occasional front wheel spin on both on steep sections but nothing to worry about.

This is Amazing, Now all that is left is to Please make a 20" wheel version as well 🙏

Yesterday i bought my first ! Brompton X Bear Grylls ❤️ I love it. It fits 1st class seats in the Netherlands perfectly.

If you already need to cooperate with the deutsche Bahn, you should at least integrate a folding chair seat into the brompton to make unexpected waiting for the train less of an incumbrance.

Does this one fold? Nobody knows.

I test rode the P line 12 speed and opted for it. But only because of the lower gears, I cannot see myself ever needing the top 3 gears in the third hub gear, way too long. Maybe it would be better to create a 6 speed but reaching the lowest gear range of the 12 speed.

I love my Brompton 6-spd overall, but the idiotic gearing is its worst feature. This 12-speed just doubles down on the insanity. It barely has more range than the 6-spd, is even more complicated, and has overlapping gears, which means shifting up or down over those overlaps is like driving an 18-spd manual tractor trailer - not exactly user-friendly. I have no idea why Brompton doesn't simply switch to a 7-spd or 11-speed hub. It would be *WAY* more user-friendly, and more reliable.

Who is able to build boring, ugly and expensive backpacks at once? Yep, Brompton.

Rolling the straps? Why doesn’t Brompton just release a proper Ortlieb mount? At least Ortlieb knows how to build proper bags. And they know how to do it for a fair price. Bromptons are great, bit their bags are complete rubbish at high costs. And they just refuse to build some mounts for luggage bags that are already properly integrated in the market and work without „rolling this, clipping that, ensure this and yeah, its not really water proof or you just might need an extra water proof coat… and yeah there is a cheap aluminum frame in your back - never mind… God damn… do you think we customers are dumb?

Tyvm! Loosened the bolt a bit too much on mine and the whole contraption exploded into a million pieces on the floor.

Yeah I'm pretty fed up with micro USB on these types of things. (Could be worse I guess - some of my lights use MINI USB...) Certainly there's basic issues here like wanting to be able to use the same charge cable for different devices (like my phone) - but it's also getting to the point where USB-C is just a lot easier to find in stores than micro-USB. In a pinch I want to be able to buy a cheap cable from a convenience store, and that is gradually becoming a more difficult prospect.

This is waste for America, but extremely useful for india.

Bought a SECOND HAND brompton like 4 years ago. I can tell you guys brompton is like the Iphone of bikes. Its quality is years ahead of anything else. Its the best mobility problem solver I have ever seen. Get one and you can be sure in 30 years even your children will still ride it.

If by any chance the folds at Brompton read the comment section, I have a quick question: on this video, the preload bolt is a Torx30 one. On the video on "Handlebar Support Removal And Headset Servicing For T Line", it is a hex one, and its recommended torque value is 3nm, whereas the user manual indicates 4nm. Can you shed some light on this, please?

Brompton won't achieve any further market without showing some real world application for daily commuting instead of all those fairy tales of european falseness. True bromptoneers are currently facing daily tasks like in Philippines, Singapore or Brazil, but you're not ready for assume new dialectical approaching to other markets
